This is my piece I submitted and won first place for in Southlake Sister Cities. The theme for this year was “Global Citizens… Resilient Communities.” For my work I chose to incorporate flags from different countries around the world as the petals of a flower. This is representative of the beauty of peace and cooperation and a symbol of the community we create when we connect with others. My piece will now be going to Washington to compete internationally.
