In addition to photography and drawing, I also enjoy makeup design. This was done with white, blue, and purple eye shadow, a LOT of glitter, and blue eyeliner. Earlier this day, I had been messing with lighting on CD’s to make rainbows, and some of the reflections had a water-like quality to them, which got me thinking of ways to replicate underwater lighting without actually being underwater. Upon realizing I didn’t have many of the materials needed to succeed in this, I decided to do a water-inspired makeup look instead, thus the large quantity of blue. I used white eye shadow as a base all the way up to my eyebrows to help the brightness of the blue stand out, and then I applied the lightest blue to the dark purple and blended outward and added some blue eyeliner to finish it off.
