ARTIST’S STATEMENTÂ
This is a drawing from my sophomore year of my well-loved tap shoes. The assignment was to create a piece based off of something that had a lot of meaning to us. I chose my tap shoes because dance has majorly influenced my life, and tap is one of my favorite styles. I also enjoy drawing with high contrast in pencil, so I like how the light reflects off of the shoes to contrast their darkness.
